Just a quick reminder about how important attendance is, even at the Pre-K level. Showing up on time really makes a difference in their learning and helps them get the most out of every day. When a child arrives late, they miss out on some of the fun and important lessons, and it can be hard for them to catch up with their classmates. We’ve found that regular, on-time attendance helps our students thrive and feel more confident. To keep things fun and motivational, we’re excited to introduce some class and individual attendance incentives.

Each day that all students are present, the class will get to place a part onto Mr. Potato Head. Once the students have completed Mr. Potato Head, they will have a class picture taken and will all get to participate during announcements. At the end of each semester, the class with the most completed Mr. Potato Heads on our graph will win a Sonic Tater Tot party!

Mr. Henry Troell, from State Farm, has generously donated four bikes to be given away at the end of the end of the first and second nine-weeks. To celebrate their perfect attendance, all students who have perfect attendance will eat lunch with the principals.

The drawings will be for perfect attendance and behavior.

If you pick your child up for a doctor’s appointment during the day and he/she returns to school on the same day or the next morning and you provide us with a doctor's note, your child will be counted as present for the day.

If your child is absent and/or goes to a doctor’s appointment please send a parent note or a doctor’s note with them when they return to school or send the excuse to our secretary, Tori Baxter or Liz Sebastian, through ParentSquare. This will allow us to mark the absence as “excused”.Notes may be submitted up to 3 days after an absence or an early pick-up.

If you send a note for a transportation change, please be sure to put it in your child’s folder for the teacher to see first thing in the morning or send your request directly to Tori Baxter or Liz Sebastian, through ParentSqaure. Transportation changes must be received in writing no later than 1:30pm.

September 15th is National Information Technology Professionals Day, and we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Holly McCullough.
