On Wednesday, April 9th, the Gilmer High School Buckeye Choir performed at the annual UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest at Canton High School.  The choir performed three songs on stage in front of three UIL judges.  Songs were sung in English and Hebrew.  After leaving the stage, the choir sight read a piece they had never seen before in front of a panel of three more judges.  All six judges gave the GHS Buckeye Choir straight ones (superior ratings).  The choir was the first choir of the day to receive a UIL Sweepstakes.

The students participating in the contest were wonderful and represented our district well.  If you see any of these fine students around school or town, please congratulate them on all of their hard work!  They are truly some of the BEST kids in East Texas!  :-)
