The Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) sponsored a technology contest designed to reward and recognize excellence in technology education. Andrew and Luke won 3rd place medals for their Desk Top Publishing entry “Pets”, a booklet about why some animals would make good pets and why some would not make good pets. Chelsea submitted an entry called “Dogs” and it was created using Windows Movie Maker. Dillon also entered the contest and produced a PowerPoint show explaining how vehicles are used. Over 800 entries from across the state were submitted this year. Gilmer Elementary students researched and created their projects after school under the supervision of Elementary Technology teacher, Lisa Smith.
